How many times have you sat in church and cringed while a pastor mutilated a text and all of it's historical context? If you are anything like me, I am sure that you have experienced this on numerous occasions. Our next meeting consists of one of those often mutilated texts. Matthew Bentley will be presenting on Jeremiah 29, and more specifically the well known verse, "For I know the great plans that I have for you declares the Lord..." Our meeting will take place on Tuesday November 16 at 9:00p.m. in the "Biblical Justice Room" aka 3rd floor of the Mansion. As usual, our "Bring your own mug" policy is still in effect. Bring your Bible and Brain (having read the paper), and be prepared for a great discussion! I have uploaded the paper under the "Papers" Tab.
